Niruupama Sarma is a senior consultant in Communication for Development (C4D) with 25 years’ experience across Asia and Africa. She has worked with leading UN agencies (UNICEF, UNAIDS, UNDP, WHO, the World Bank) and INGOs such as Save the Children, MSF, Oxfam and PATH. Her main domain areas include child rights, maternal/child health, HIV/AIDS, sexual and gender-based violence, and WASH. Nirupama Sarma ‘s key skill areas include evidence-based policy and media advocacy; qualitative research, landscaping of C4D good practices, and evaluations, strategy development; design/execution of rights-based social change methodologies including participatory theater.She has led large-scale, multi-site advocacy/C4D initiatives, working closely with grassroot, marginalized communities as well as policy makers, donors, NGOs and civil society networks.
