Farkhad Imambakiev, a former UNICEF staff member, has worked as a consultant with UNICEF offices in Bangladesh, Eritrea, Pakistan, South Sudan and Turkmenistan since 2012. He brings a diverse skill set in strategic communication, project implementation management and C4D capacity building, including in emergency contexts. During 2016 and 2017, Farkhad worked in the UNICEF Regional Office for Eastern and Southern Africa, assisting countries in the Horn of Africa to strengthen their communication capacities around poliovirus outbreaks. Currently, he is a C4D consultant for Immunization for the Cross-border operation in Syria. He served as the C4D Specialist and the Head of Communication Team in UNICEF’s Country Office in Kyrgyzstan between 2005 and 2012. During his career, he has also worked with UNHCR, UNDP, WFP and various international NGOs.
